App Design
The aim for this project was to create a prototype of a mobile AR app (Pocket Discovery) that transforms real-world landmarks into interactive stop-motion stories you can discover, watch, and collect—making hidden history come alive as you explore.
The concept combines AR technology, storytelling, and gamification to make history feel immersive, accessible, and fun.
Figma Design
Using Figma, I designed the complete user interface and user experience for Pocket Discovery, including wireframes, interactive prototypes, navigation flows and reusable components. I focused on creating an intuitive, accessible design that effectively supports educational content through engaging visual storytelling.
Logo Design
Designed a distinctive logo for Pocket Discovery that reflects the app's focus on exploration, discovery and history. Through research and sketching, I developed a simple, memorable mark that works across mobile interfaces, promotional materials and digital platforms while remaining recognisable at different sizes. I also involved an in depth brand identity guide that can be viewed in the planning documentation.
Illustrations
Created a bespoke set of digital illustrations to establish a unique visual style for the Pocket Discovery app. Each illustration was designed to simplify historical landmarks and characters into engaging, recognisable graphics that appeal to younger audiences while maintaining historical context. The consistent illustration style helped strengthen the app's identity and support its educational purpose.
