Interactive Game Design

For this brief I had to build an interactive learning tool for key stage 1-3 age groups, supporting a science subject area. In this project i used Visual Studio Code to code the game while improving techniques on User Experience and User Centered Design. This project also gave me the chance to develop my authoring skills in jQuery and CSS. Creating a funny, light hearted and engaging game, I also put my focus on it being quick to launch and easily navigated.

Illustration

I illustrated my own design for the game using Adobe Photoshop as it fit the target audience perfectly as the character wasn’t too scary but was still expressive and turned into more of a comedic piece when matched with the script within the game. It also means i had full creative freedom over how the character looked visually.

This was the first big illustration piece i had done for one of my projects and I loved incorporating the enthusiasm i have for illustration into my interactive.
